The Community Larder is a joint effort between BCC, Boroughbridge Lions and Boroughbridge Methodist Church. The aim of the Community Larder is reduce food waste by encouraging local food retailers, households and allotment holders to donate their surplus food to the Community Larder, which is then redistributed to the local community.

We provide a space for the community to meet, chat and make new friends. Refreshments are served by the church and there is a small area for younger children’s indoor play.

General Information and advice is available, alongside information on the impact of food waste on the environment.

People of Boroughbridge and District can attend the Community Larder, at Boroughbridge Methodist Church Hall, Horsefair, Boroughbridge, every Wednesday between 11.45am – 1.30pm and take home a bag of free surplus food. Please supply your own bag.
