Digital Help

When you need help with your digital devices (smart phones, tablets or laptops) or you need help with apps or you need help doing things on the Internet, our team of dedicated Digital Champions is there to provide support. What we don’t know between us gets researched and answers are normally found quite quickly.

Come along to our free, informal sessions with your digital device and we’ll try to help you out. No booking is necessary, just turn up.

Boroughbridge sessions – every Thursday in the Jubilee Room above the library from 10 am until midday.

Green Hammerton sessions – every other Monday at Seymors Café on 12, 26 January | 9, 23 February | 9, 23 March from 9 am until 11 am.

Tockwith sessions – every Tuesday at the Village Hall from 10 am until midday.

We’re in the process of recruiting Digital Champions to help run sessions at Tockwith, so if you live in that area and would be interested, or you know of anyone who would be interested, in joining the team, please get in touch.

To give you a flavour for what we do, here’s a list of some of the things we’ve successfully helped people with since starting in January 2025:

  • Accessing Google Drive
  • Loading and accessing the NHS app
  • Sorted out access to email on smartphone
  • How to choose a new phone
  • Transferring data from old phone to new phone

  • Learning how to use W3W (what 3 words) navigation
  • How to select and move photos
  • How to answer calls on a smartphone
  • How to tidy up apps and put frequently used apps on the home page
